TERMS & CONDITIONS
Before you send your video please make sure you have read the following terms and conditions:
Eligibility:
The competition is open to current 3rd level students.
Participants must be older than 18 years of age.
Criteria
One overall national winner will be selected winner will be selected.
The video must be no longer than 2 minutes in length.
The video may be judged on the following aspects:
- Is the clip original in its content and format?
- Is the clip inspiring?
- Does it catch the audience’s attention?
Competition Rules
The competition closes at 5 p.m. Friday 26th November 2010
Only one entry per person or team will be considered.
The winners will be informed by telephone and by email, within 14 days of the closing date of the competition.
There should be no 3rd party copyright material in your video that you have not been given permission to use (including music).
Your video must not contain anything that is illegal, offensive or infringes any person’s privacy.
You must seek the permission of any person featured in your video (or in the case of a child, you must receive permission from their parent) Failte Ireland reserves the right to require the participant to furnish evidence that appropriate permission has been obtained.
By sending us your video you are automatically agreeing to broadcast your video on www.picktourism.ie, youtube.com and websites belonging to the college and other similar websites that we as the organisers deem suitable.
Should your video be successful in getting featured on www.picktourism.ie and you wish to have it removed in the future, you will need to contact us directly to do so.
- Do not send us videos that contain any of the following:
Racist, sexist or homophobic comments
Harassment or 'stalking' of any person
Defamatory statements or personal attacks on others
- Personal details or private information about any other person
- Commercial advertising
- Excessively coarse language or content
- Breach any intellectual property rights law or discuss how to commit illegal activity.
- Video clips that have been submitted for another video competitions.
We will not use your contact details for any other purpose or provide them to any third party.
Prizes
The 1st prize offered is €2,000 cash; 2nd Prize €800, and 3rd prize €400.
An additional prize of €1000 will be awarded to the winners third level/further Education college for equipment.
Winners agree to participate in publicity and have their name printed.
Entry Details:
All video clips must be uploaded directly to picktourism.ie/competition by Friday 26th November 2010 at 5pm.
Videos must be in MP4, FLV or API file type, be no more than 2 minutes in length or 20MB.
A thumbnail image is also required and this can be no more than 95px by 57px in JPEG format.
No late entrants will be considered.
By participating in the contest, the entrant will be deemed to have read and agreed to these terms and conditions and all obligations arising there from.
