Do you need points to do a college course in Tourism and Hospitality?

If you want to do a higher level programme in an Institute of Technology, Shannon College of Hotel Management or a Private College application for these courses is through the CAO so points will be required.  However, there are a number of other routes to qualification by doing a 1-2 year course in a Further Education College or taking the 'Earn and Learn' option and work full time while attending college once a week or on a block release basis.
