Direct entry Failte Ireland Programmes
Fáilte Ireland and the Institutes of Technology (IOT’S)* have a new policy and strategy in relation to the provision of Hospitality and Tourism Programmes in the Institutes of Technology.
The changes will affect the following programmes:
Advanced Certificate in Professional Cookery (2 year)
Advanced Certificate in Tourism Hospitality Studies (2 year)
Advanced Certificate in Tourism with Business (2 year)
Certificate in Bar Operations (1 year)
These programmes have been replaced by new higher level programmes as follows:
Higher Certificate in Arts–Culinary Arts (2 year)
Higher Certificate in Arts - Hospitality Studies (2 year)
Higher Certificate in Business -Tourism (2 year)
Higher Certificate in Arts - Bar Supervision (2 year)
Admissions to these new programmes, for September 2010, will be through the CAO system. See the CAO section for further details.
FAILTE IRELAND WILL CONTINUE TO PAY CAPITATION AND TUITION FOR THESE NEW PROGRAMMES.
This agreement applies to the following Institutes of Technology:
Athlone, Cork, Dublin, Dundalk, Galway/Mayo, Letterkenny, Limerick, Tallaght, Tralee and Waterford.
